The Pentecost Walk led by Tom Demaree and the annual Pentecost Sunday Celebration is gaining history and momentum. What started as a phone call from a friend in Washington, D.C. has become a catalytic unity event that spans denominations and faith traditions bringing many church leaders and their congregations together. On year one, intercessors from all over the MOV prayer walked 63 miles together. ( I remember...I walked them all) We ended with a combined worship and prayer gathering on Sunday night in an old historic downtown Parkersburg church and then walked to the flagpole at City Hall. This year, on our tenth anniversary, we will meet at First Baptist Church Williamstown for worship, sharing and prayer followed by an ice cream social. We are also planning a prayer walk across the Williamstown Bridge to Marietta. Come and join us as we Celebrate what only the Holy Spirit could have accomplished among us!
